Claw Initiation
The Beginning...

After being give their orders by Rathgar Silverclaw the adventures set out to make their destinies. Unlike the normal intiation which is to perfore a ritual at the Black Manor the adventurers have been sent to find out what had happened to the previous group of initiates who had not returned…

On arriving at the Black Manor the group started to head toward the manor house through a graveyard which surrounds it. While moving through the graveyard the group was attacked by Zombies which burst forth from the graves and tombs surrounding them. The group eventually dispatched them only to discover that three of the Zombies were members of the previous group.

After checking the bodies for idetification and giving the last rites the party moves forward it the graveyard with the sound of cackling laughter on the wind…

The Groundskeeper
He is surly and hungry...

Our adventurers continued on their way through the mist toward the manor. As much haste as they could muster they moved quickly through the graveyard in the hopes of not have more bodies rise from the dead to attack them. As they came to the black iron fence surrounding the house they saw a figure standing in front of the house. As they got closer they could see that there was two large dogs with the figure but by then it was too late.
The Groundskeeper sent his two hounds into battle immediately attacking Dracor as he was in front. Abraxus Defender Of The Weak was able to identify The Groundskeeper as a ghoul, but it was already too late for Dracor. Under all of the attacks by the hounds and the Groundskeeper Dracor was almost killed but Leethera was able to allow his body to heal enough to keep him standing. At this The Groundskeeper ordered his dogs to atttack the unfortunate Cleric (Leethera). In a blinding flash of light Leethera destroyed one of the dogs and threw the other a few yards away smoking. This was not enough though for Leethera who was knocked to the ground by the other dog and mauled into unconsciousness. Luckily Seth Nightroad and Alieya were able to finish off the ghoul and save Leethera before she expired.
We left our heroes outside the door to the Black Manor taking a well deserved rest.

The Rat Lord
His pets need feeding...

After a refreshing rest outside the manor our heroes decided to venture in. Surprise was decided to be the order of the day so everyone except from Dracor hid. Unfortunately he did not notice the door was trapped and got his hand trapped and crushed by the clawed door knocker. After some time Alieya was able to free him and open the door to the manor. As they went in they were confronted by a Rat-like creature which claimed to serve a “master”. Luckily they were able to identify the creature as a were-rat, but by then it was too late As our heroes prepared to fight the creature, rats poured out of the walls attacking on mass the adventurers. Desperate to get the rats off the adventurers attacked the rats but there were just too many of them. While this was happening Alieya disguised herself as a Were-rat and managed to bluff The Rat Lord into believe she was an ally.

The Children
They only want to play...

After destroying the idol to Vecna our adventurers decided to head upstairs to see what other horrors were in this house. On coming upstairs they encountered some ghosts and a wraith who tried as best as they could to destroy our heroes. The ghosts appeared as children who Seth Nightroad tried to negotiate with but to no avail. The power of Bahumut managed to over come these foul creatures of the night and our heroes prevailed. It was at this time that there was violent shaking all through the house and our heroes fell through the floor, the sound of bestial roaring all around them…

In the basement
Choices, choices...

After falling from the second story into the basement our heroes found themselves in a room with three stone doors. As they approached one of the doors a voice said “Make your choice!” This voice was recoginsed by Alieya and Abraxus Defender Of The Weak as being the voice that htey had heard in their heads before. Outside each door there was a torch in a holder; one red, one blue and one green. After some deliberation it was decided to open the blue door.
As out heroes walked through the door the flame of the torch went out and the room began to pulse with an earie blue light. It was also very cold in the room and they noticed that it was eminating from a large blue zombie ont he other side of the room. As all of them entered this zombie and the other 3 found in the room lurched forward to attack.
After a horrific fight which saw Abraxus Defender Of The Weak being taken down by the frozen Zombie our heroes were able to overcome. In the corner they found a spring of water which refreshed them, ready to continue on their way. Who know what other horrors lurk behind the other doors…
